Tree of
fruition
Perfect act of
contrition
Meat of
repentance
A reflection of the "fruits" of repentance and the term "φάγητε" (phagēte) in the bible.
Phagēte means "to eat" from the root phago, "to consume". The term, "phagēte" is seen in such places as Matthew 6:25 and John 6:53. In Matthew 6:25, Jesus tells us not to worry about what we eat and drink. But then, in John 6:53, He says that we must eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink of Him the blood, which, paradoxically, indicates one should indeed worry, at least a little bit, about what we are and/or are not consuming.
